Mercury Advances Its NZ$506 Million Puke Kapo Hau Wind Farm

On 23 October, Mercury announced that construction of its 192-MW Puke Kapo Hau wind farm would begin in November following the notice to proceed. The NZ$506 million project will add 40 turbines to the existing Mahinerangi wind farm, with commissioning expected by mid-2028 and estimated annual generation of around 646 GWh; energy operators and engineering firms can explore generation forecasting, turbine-performance monitoring and power-system modelling, while HPC can provide computing support with a project-specific quotation.
